  Making Sense of SunPass Sounds

Ever wonder what your transponder is trying to tell you when you drive through a toll booth? The beeps you hear when you drive through the SunPass lane provide you with valuable information about your SunPass account. For more details on what each audio tone means, check out the chart below.

If the tone is... It means...
HIGH Toll paid - go ahead.
HIGH - LOW - HIGH - LOW Toll paid - go ahead, but you have a low balance in your account. (Less than $10)
LOW - LOW - LOW 1. Your transponder is invalid, or;
2. Your batteries are low, or;
3. Your toll was not paid and you have insufficient funds in your account. Place the transponder in the silver-gray RF shield bag and pay cash. Call 1-888-TOLL-FLA (1-888-865-5352).
HIGH - HIGH Your account has been replenished - go ahead.
NO BEEP If this continually happens:
1. You need to change your transponder's batteries, or;
2. You have insufficient funds in your account. If this continues, switch your battery and check your account balance and information. Call 1-888-TOLL-FLA (1-888-865-5352).
