The Florida 511 travel information system will provide regional and statewide updates to Florida residents and visitors. Simply dial 5-1-1 from your cell phone or landline from anywhere in the state and you'll receive access to realtime traffic reports for Florida's Turnpike and most of the major interstate highways in the Sunshine state, as well as roadway conditions, construction updates, lane closures, severe weather alerts and other major incidents. Statewide 511 features: 24-hour access Toll-free call with voice-activated menus Information about all Florida interstate highways, including Florida's Turnpike Easy entry into Central Florida, Southeast Florida and Tampa Bay regional systems Real-time traffic updates Construction and lane-closure updates Severe weather evacuation and child abduction alerts Before traveling, go to www.511.com for statewide and regional updates. Callers also have the option of connecting to the regional 511 network in Central Florida, Southeast Florida or Tampa Bay without having to re-dial into the system. Additionally, the expanded Central Florida regional system features travel times on specific segments of I-4 and the arterial roadways that serve as alternative routes to the interstate, as well as transit, airport and seaport information.
