  Fall 2006 Construction Update

If you're planning a trip on Florida's Turnpike or one of the other toll roads in the system this fall, please make note of the following construction projects in progress*:

Sawgrass Expressway (Toll 869)

Broward County – Roadway widening and construction of sound walls from Atlantic Boulevard to Exit 17
(Florida's Turnpike).


Florida's Turnpike Mainline

Miami-Dade County milepost 25 – Construction of an additional connector ramp from the southbound Turnpike to westbound Southwest 8th Street (Tamiami Trail).

Broward County mileposts 53-66 – Roadway widening of southbound lanes and construction of sound walls from Griffin Road (Exit 53) to Atlantic Boulevard (Exit 66).

Palm Beach County mileposts 80-89 – Roadway widening and construction of sound walls from Atlantic Avenue interchange (Exit 81) to Lantana Toll Plaza.

Palm Beach County milepost 98 – Construction of partial interchange with toll plaza (Jog Road).

Martin County mileposts 126-138 – Resurfacing between Jupiter (Indiantown Road) and Stuart
(Martin Downs Boulevard) interchanges.

St. Lucie County mileposts 138-153 – Resurfacing between Stuart and Fort Pierce (SR 70) interchanges.

Osceola County milepost 240 – Adding a partial SunPass-only interchange at Kissimmee Park Road (northbound on-ramps and southbound off-ramps).

Orange County mileposts 254-270 – Adding lanes from I-4 south to the Beachline Expressway/State Road 528.
