| Going Green with E85 | ||
| Florida's Turnpike Enterprise is doing its part to lessen dependency on foreign oil by offering E85 fuel at select service plazas. E85 (85% ethanol and 15% gas) typically costs 15% less than regular gas. It burns cleaner than conventional gasoline and provides an environmentally-friendly alternative for fuel consumption. Paving the way toward a greener tomorrow, the Turnpike's first E85 pumps opened to the public in Orange County at the Turkey Lake Service Plaza (milepost 263) in July of 2008. This service plaza was the first E85 station in central Florida to offer E85. E85 is also available at the Port St. Lucie/Ft. Pierce Service Plaza (milepost 144) in St. Lucie County, and is scheduled to be offered at the Pompano Beach Service Plaza (milepost 65) in Broward County in the future. Please note: Before purchasing E85 fuel, please check your vehicle specifications and owners manual to determine if this product is compatible with your vehicle.
