Project Details
The project widens a seven-mile segment of the Turnpike Mainline (SR 91) between the West Palm Beach Service Plaza and north of Okeechobee Boulevard / SR 704. The widening will increase the number of travel lanes from four to eight. Work includes pavement widening, reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, bridge improvements, stormwater drainage improvements, and noise walls in qualifying areas. Interchange improvements are also being evaluated at Southern Boulevard / SR 80 (MP 97), Jog Road (MP 98), and Okeechobee Boulevard / SR 704 (MP 101); where a turn lane will be added to the Turnpike Mainline (SR 91) on-ramp from westbound Okeechobee Boulevard / SR 704.
