The Fleet for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) includes the following equipment: automobiles, light trucks, medium and heavy trucks, cargo vans, passenger vans, marine equipment (e.g., boat), trailers, mowers, fork lifts and all-terrain vehicles (ATV). The equipment services our staff from Jacksonville to Miami, the Panhandle, Veterans Expressway, Suncoast Parkway, the East-West Expressway, Seminole Expressway, Sawgrass Expressway, Polk Polkway, and the Turnpike Extension, just to name a few.

Commercial Vehicle Operations (CVO) includes moving freight in commercial vehicles and the activities to regulate these operations such as electronic registration, permitting programs, electronic exchange of inspection data between agencies, electronic screening systems, and roadside operations.

Responsibilities of the Division of Fleet Management include:

  • Approve the purchase of motor vehicles and watercraft, adhere to fleet replacement criteria and administer the state’s federally mandated fueled vehicles program.
  • Manage the disposal of the state’s used and surplus motor vehicles and watercraft, primarily through sale at public auction.
  • Develop policies and procedures for effective and efficient purchase, assignment, use, maintenance, and disposal of motor vehicles and watercraft.
  • Ensure the cost-effective purchase of safe, energy-efficient and quality motor vehicles.
