Florida's Turnpike Projects

The state’s transportation needs are continually growing, and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) often evaluates solutions to relieve congestion, improve safety, leverage technology and provide additional travel options with minimal environmental impacts.

The Featured Projects represent our larger efforts to maintain and modernize Florida’s Turnpike System. They are either in the PD&E Phase (when a project is evaluated for potential physical, economical or environmental impacts) or in the Design Phase (when a set of plans are developed to build a project). Construction projects are those currently being built throughout the state.

FEATURED PROJECTS

Work Program

The Adopted Five-Year Work Program is the current plan for Florida’s Turnpike System improvement projects that are funded for the next five fiscal years.

Thru Lanes

Thru lanes are additional travel lanes located on a toll road that help provide congestion relief in high traffic areas. These lanes offer customers making longer, more regional trips, the ability to bypass the local traffic entering and exiting the road.
