Turnpike Mainline / SR 821

Two managed lanes in each direction are currently under construction on Florida’s Turnpike Mainline / SR 821 between US 1 / Dixie Highway and north of NW 57th Avenue. Construction began in 2013 and will open in sections from 2020 through 2027.

Thru Lanes opened in April 2020 between Hainlin Mill Drive / US 1 and south of Killian Parkway. Lanes between Biscayne Drive / SW 288th Street and Hainlin Mill Drive / US 1  converted to Thru Lanes in December 2020.

    Vehicle Eligibility

    Only two-axle vehicles will be permitted. Trucks with three or more axles will not be allowed.

    Vehicles must have an active SunPass or another interoperable transponder.

    Transit buses, school buses and vanpools will be allowed.

    Tolling Method

    General Toll 

    Customers pay only the general toll amount that is charged for all other lanes on the same toll road.
