Veterans Expressway

Veterans Expressway in Tampa has one managed lane in each direction for 9 miles from Memorial Highway to north of Hutchison Road. The Veterans Expressway managed lanes fully opened to traffic in May 2018. This project is currently being converted from an Express Lane to a Thru Lane.

    Vehicle Eligibility

    Only two-axle vehicles will be permitted. Trucks with three or more axles will not be allowed.

    Vehicles must have an active SunPass or another interoperable transponder.

    Transit buses, school buses and vanpools will be allowed.

    Tolling Method

    General Toll

    Customers pay only the general toll amount that is charged for all other lanes on the same toll road.

    North of West Hillborough Avenue

    North of Wilsky Boulevard

    You may exit Northbound Veterans:

      North of Wilsky Boulevard

      North of Hutchison Road

    You may enter Southbound Veterans:

      South of Van Dyke Road / Suncoast Parkway

      South of Gunn Highway

    You may exit Southbound Veterans:

      South of Gunn Highway
