Ocoee, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, will hold a Design Public Information Meeting for the project Florida’s Turnpike/S.R. 821 Interchange Improvements at U.S. 1 in Miami-Dade County.
The Design Public Information Meeting will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (virtually), and from 5:30 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2026 (in-person).
Interested people may participate in the meeting in the following ways:
1) Virtually from a computer, tablet, or phone on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 6:00 PM.
Participants attending virtually may join the Public Information Meeting in listen-only mode by calling +1-850-739-5589 and enter access code 660-937-859# when prompted; or
2) In-person by going to the Phichol Williams Community Center, 951 SW 4th St, Homestead, FL 33030, on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
If you wish to participate in the Public Information Meeting, please visit the project website at www.floridasturnpike.com/sr821interchangeatus1,to register for the meeting and to select your participation option. Please note that registration works best in the Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox web browsers. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email that includes instructions on how to join the virtual meeting. Information presented at all attendance options will be the same.
People wishing to submit public comments or questions may do so whether attending virtually or at the in-person location. Those who are unable to participate in the Public Information Meeting may submit comments by contacting the project manager using the contact information provided below. All comments received or postmarked on or before Monday, August 24, 2026, will be included in the records for the Public Information Meeting.
