Project Details
Florida’s Turnpike/S.R. 91 is undergoing significant enhancements between south of Sawgrass Expressway/S.R. 869 (milepost 71) and north of Glades Road/S.R. 808 (milepost 76) in Broward and Palm Beach counties. As part of these improvements, a new lane is being added in each direction within the project limits to increase capacity, reduce congestion, and enhance safety.
This project also includes installing new roadway lighting, signage, fresh pavement markings, and upgrading the intelligent transportation system to promote safer and more efficient travel. Noise walls will be constructed along qualifying residential areas.
It is estimated the project will cost $100 million and is expected to continue through 2029.
