Project Details

This project removes the existing ramps at the Clay Whaley Road partial interchange removing access to and from Florida’s Turnpike Mainline/SR 91 at this location. A proposed new Turnpike interchange will be constructed at an extension of W. Nolte Road, located approximately 1/2 a mile north of the existing Clay Whaley Road interchange. This new interchange will provide all directional access to and from Florida’s Turnpike Mainline/SR 91. The proposed interchange features a diverging diamond configuration, which offers improved capacity with a smaller footprint. This project was bundled with 441224-4 (Widen Florida’s Turnpike Mainline/SR 91 from Clay Whaley Road to US 192 & New Nolte Road Interchange) as a Design-Build Project.

PROJECT STATUS

  • This Design-Build project was awarded to the Jr. Davis Construction Company, Inc. in November 2023.
  • The project is currently in design and construction is scheduled to begin later in 2024.
  • The total combined duration of design and construction is approximately six years.
