South Florida Wrong-Way Detection Technology Implementation Project

Project Details

As part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Wrong-Way Driving Initiative, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) is enhancing the Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection System (WWVDS) throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

It is estimated the project will cost $ 5.5 million and is expected to be completed in mid-2023.
