Project Details
This project is in Design, which is the third phase of the typical FDOT project development process. During this phase, construction plans, specifications, and final estimates to build a project are developed.

The improvements are proposed with the goals of:
- Provide operational and safety improvements on the eastbound exit ramp on Beachline Expressway (SR 528) (Exit 3) and continue southbound along John Young Parkway (CR 423) to the Taft Vineland Rd intersection in Orange County.
- Modify the interchange at John Young Parkway (CR 423) and SR 528 by altering the eastbound exit ramp configuration.
- Repave and widen the SR 528 eastbound exit ramp.
- Repave John Young Parkway’s southbound travel lanes and turn lanes.
- Widen the median to create southbound left turn lanes at the W. Taft Vineland Road Intersection.
- Other safety and design improvements include widening, sidewalk repairs, signing and pavement marking improvements, ITS improvements, lighting improvements, and signalization improvements.
- Modify the existing stormwater drainage system and environmental permits.
Project Status
- The project is currently in Design.
- Construction is funded for FY 2026.
- No right-of-way acquisition is expected for the project.
