Imagine a future where the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (Enterprise) System far exceeds today’s performance in safety, efficiency, value, and customer satisfaction. A fully interoperable system, where travel is even more seamless and integrated with cutting-edge technologies, resulting in zero fatalities and serious crashes, and redefining the entire travel experience. The Enterprise 2055 Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is the blueprint for this future, embodying current leadership’s financial efficiency and strategic vision to elevate the Turnpike System to new heights.

Objectives

  • To develop a financially balanced capital improvement plan through the year 2055, including a framework for delivering the Turnpike Widening Infrastructure Improvement Program.
  • To identify opportunities for system growth.
  • To capture long-term strategic initiatives such as those identified in the Enterprise 2.0 effort.
  • To align with the 2055 Florida Transportation Plan (FTP) and FDOT’s Compass, centering on a community outreach approach concentrated around it’s five pillars: Safety, Workforce Development, Technology, Supply Chain, and Resilience.

The Enterprise’s 2055 TMP will be an information-driven effort that will employ communication tools to facilitate stakeholder engagement. A dedicated collaboration space will be developed to leverage existing data, systems, and reports with internal and potential external stakeholders. It will enhance communication, encourage coordination, and track progress.
